The Pike Brothers 1923 Buccanoy Shirt is a classic choice for formal occasions, inspired by shirts from the 1920s. Historically, stand-up collar shirts have been worn since the mid-1800s, when it was realized that it was easier to attach and remove collars than to wash and starch entire shirts. This made them popular until the 1940s, when fold-over collar shirts began to dominate men's fashion.
